SP190 Kit is the evolution of the previous Kit SP170. The decision to make a new kit despite the success of the SP170 was taken to offer the opportunity to get even more powerful performance from the generous Fiat 1.4 engine. SP190 does not replace SP170: in fact, it was designed not to improve SP170, but to provide more power oriented performance. The driving torque rises from 2,800 rpm of the SP170 to about 3,400 but with a higher absolute value while the power obtainable at the pressure of 1.4 Bar exceeds 200 hp and in the case of engines prepared with molded pistons, ring head gasket, correct remapping, boost pressure 1.7 Bar and increased injectors can exceed 250 hp making the car suitable for use on the track. The SP170 is instead suitable for use in uphill and slalom speed races.

The turbo Mitsubishi TD04HL has a very low moment of inertia compared to a Garrett T3 and also TB28 while the air flow rate processed by the compressor is very similar to that of a T3 60 Trim. The 6 square centimeters turbine carter allows an excellent response to low engine revs while maintaining a reasonable permeability at high revs. The turbine adopts the same gas inlet flange of the original TB28 turbo. The oil seal system on the compressor side is much more sophisticated than the original, thus avoiding the classic engine oil consumption that often afflicts the original application (especially when the turbo is operated at high engine speeds).
The achievable power is around 260 – 280 hp but the component reliability is much higher (thanks to the Mitsubishi’s adoption of a 360 ° thrust bearing) compared to the original Garrett TB28 turbo equipped with a 280 °

Driving a small and light weight car, equipped with a low displacement engine but with a good power is very funny, but it should be kept in mind that all SAITO kits are made for sports use in private areas and not for road use.
The SSB100 kit incredibly enhances the qualities of the small 3-cylinder engine bringing the power values at about 95/105 hp (the achievable power depends on the correct ECU setting), while the torque, delayed by about 80 engine revolutions, reaches 13 kgm allowing the obtaining an exciting thrust that finds its maximum expression in the second and third gears. The reduced permeability of the exhaust developed specifically for use with the SSB100 generates an increase in absolute power of about 3 CV allowing a slight reduction in specific consumption.

The SSB85 Kit was created in the year 2000 specifically for the Smart 600 cc petrol, the kit has been the result of the cooperation between Benelli Telai of Fermignano and SAITO of Osimo, and it is aimed to provide at a reasonable price a complete turbo kit to reach a power of about 90hp with a high torque at an adequate number of revolutions (12 Kgm between 4000 and 4500 engine revolutions) and a considerable reliability.
It was the first complete, plug&play Kit made by SAITO with the aim of deiliver a product that gives great satisfaction to those who use the car for sports use without losing the basic characteristics of the car so low consumption and reliability. SAITO has made SM140 VGT kit for Mitsubishi 2.5 liters 4d56 and 4d56t engines equipped with mechanical injection pump! The famous and emblazoned engine developed several years ago by Mitsubishi for Pajero, L200, Pajero Sport and Hyundai Galloper has shown excellent reliability, but like other engines from the 90’s has shown lack of power at low revs. The SM140 kit enhances engine response, greatly reducing turbolag and making off-road driving smoother and more aggressive. The need to get more power and torque from the engine makes it necessary to use turbochargers capable of working at higher compression ratios (up to 5:1), higher rotational speeds and high derived temperatures due to the effect of increased air compression. When the turbocharger is used in heavy duty applications – such as city buses, trucks for local deliveries, earth moving machines, sports cars and so on – it’s speed has great variations this strongly stresses the Turbocharger’s internal components, including the Compressor Wheel.
Due to the increased performance of both engines and turbochargers, Standard die-casted compressor wheels has reached the limit of their resistance and so – in order to increase Turbocharger reliability – a new production method has been developed, namely for mechanical processing, from the a special Aluminum bar. The standard molded Compressor Wheel shows failure problems due to stress and often due to fusion defects, to oxides or other impurities
