Perhaps KZJ70/90 is the best Toyota engine ever made for off-road vehicles, an engine capable of delivering a good driving torque and a non-excellent but sufficient power. The 500 cc more than the 2.5 liter 2LT engine made it possible to better exploit the sturdy 4 × 4 on the more technical and trialistic trails but fortunately these valuable qualities can still be improved.
SAITO manufactures ST150, a very simple kit adopting the most robust and performing Mitsubishi turbocharges on which in addition to the modifications of the guidelines is installed a specific compressor impeller able to increase the air flow even further. The result is very good indeed with this simple modification and the recalibration of the diesel pump it is possible to increase the driving torque and power making the driving of the vehicle much smoother and more exciting. The installation is simple and can be carried out by a general mechanic while it is suggested to have the pump set by a specialist.
