A fascinating, powerful, reliable engine, in line with the Fiat quality that for many years has been developing and producing small and medium-powered petrol engines capable of delivering exciting powers in sports versions. Already from the 1.4 turbo engines installed on the Fiat Uno and then Punto GT, the passion of the elaborations that led our company to provide specific Kits according to the desired use was born. Turbo kit aimed at obtaining high power pairs with all-round powers and specific turbo kits to reach powers up to 60% more than the nominal values. The decision to supply specific turbo kits according to the needs was born to satisfy those who used the cars both on the track but also in slalom or uphill speed races. In these disciplines the engine must obviously have a different power and torque output.
After the success obtained in the past years with the Kit SP170 and SP190 for the “old” 1.4 engine and recently with the extraordinary SFM230 Scorpio kit, SAITO has decided to develop an even more powerful turbo kit, maintaining the same reliability of its predecessors, for the enthusiasts, the operators of the sector and those companies specialized in the general elaboration of the cars that make use of the support of specialists for each component.
SFM290 is an oil-cooled and water-cooled turbo, it is equipped with a high-strength turbine casing – the color of the cast iron always looks the same but the characteristics can be very different. In Italy there are only two foundries able to produce jets in Niresist D5, the material with a high content of nickel used that withstands temperatures above 950 ° C.
The power achievable operating at a pressure of about 1.3 Bar is about 290 hp with an excellent supply of torque, but it should be borne in mind that for the use of this kit and to obtain the declared power it is necessary to make important modifications to the engine such as molded pistons, ring head gaskets, increased injectors. The SFM290 Kit is the most economical and high performing product on the market for reaching powers close to 300 HP but its installation can only be performed by specialized companies (SAITO supplies the most famous and famous Tuners in Italy and abroad providing high quality products offering kits made with turbines produced by Mitsubishi according to the highest standards and materials specifically developed for racing – We do not use Asian or low-tech products in our range).

N.B. In case of “heavy” tune-up on 1.4 t-jet euro 4 and euro 5 vehicles it is essential to increase the fuel flow. Therefore it is necessary to replace the injectors: those offered by SAITO are genuine Bosch, the highest quality available today on the spare parts market!
