For the robust 4D56 engine produced by Mitsubishi for Pajero and L200 cars, Mitsubishi turbo division has created an aesthetically identical turbocharger with the original, but with a increased compressor impeller .
This solution allows a greater mass of air to be introduced into the combustion chamber which, together with a higher quantity of diesel, allows an interesting increase in engine power to be obtained. Our suggestion, for those who wish to increase the engine performance with a limited cost, is to mount the turbo, bring the boost pressure to 1.2 Bar (having the foresight to remove the safety valve placed on the intake manifold) and increase the delivery of the diesel fuel, avoiding, however, to go too far, avoiding exhaust fumes. with such an intervention the power is increased by about 30% with excellent reliability features!
